The chocolate pie and chocolate cake were exquisite! I stumbled upon Mead Family Restaurant while looking for a place to stop for breakfast. Had breakfast there, and took desserts home. Next time I am in southern Oklahoma I will make this a destination!
Good prices good service and good food
My family stops to eat here at least once a month and have never had a bad experience.The owner and staff are always friendly and the food has always been delicious.In my opinion far better than chain restaurants.I would recommend the Chicken Fried Steak, Hamburgers, and especially the Breakfast served all day are my favorites.It's always a treat for us to stop and We will pass all the chain restaurants in Durant even when we are very hungry so we can eat here.My Mom even bought a t-shirt from them.I really hope they continue to do well and are open for a very long time because we so look forward to eating here.
