I am sure he is accostumed to seeing patients that leave all authoruty to him and do not inquiry as to why, how, when, when, etcetera. I did question him and was definitely bothered. I recommend patients to stay away from his office and to travel out of Durant to see a real and true physician. Dr. Nielson just wants to earn as much money as possible by neglecting his professional responsibilities.
Whilst in the waiting room, the physician came in and asked me what was the reason for my visit. I explained the reason and then Dr. Nielson proceded to examine my condition by asking me to perform some range of motion moves. Then he advised me of my condition. Prior to entering the waiting room, Dr. Nielson stated that he saw my x-ray photographs and determined that my condition was nothing more than orthoarthritis. Fine, but he neglected to show and explain the photograph to me as patient. He also came in to the waiting room with as little information as possible so that he could get rid of me as soon as possible. I proceded to ask him questions and I could tell in his facial expressions that he was bothered by my questions.
Dr. Nielson is a very unprofessional physician. He is a money hungry individual that does not pay attention to his unprofessional behaviour when seeing and treating his patients. I made an appointment to see him and saw him on 2017 ?? September at 12:30pm.
My appointment was scheduled at 12:30pm, when I arrived the check in window was closed. I waited for 15 minutes, but then I knocked on the window and an older lady advised me that they were at lunch. So why was my appointment scheduled at such time I inquired? The older lady did not respond. Then a younger receptionist came to the window and requested me to fill out the paper work. I did and waited to be brought in to the room in which I would be seen by Dr. Nielson.
I should’ve listed to the reviews before coming here. There front office is awful! They wanted me to schedule my own appointment to see a neurologist, who never answers their phones. I called them back a week later after having no luck and the lady giggled and said yeah he’s hard to get ahold of but you’ll have to keep trying. In the mean time they scheduled me to see Dr. Neilson whose bed side manner needs some work. He wanted me to schedule an appointment with the neurologist and basically couldn’t help me until I had. I told him that I’ve been calling that office for over a week and have had no luck and when I brought that to his offices attention they said yeah he’s hard to get a hold of but keep trying! After that he was SO rude and acted like he couldn’t believe his office would do that. I will NOT be returning and would suggest you not wasting your time here. Do yourself a HUGE favor and find another physician.

Prior to being asked to fill out the patient history file, I advised the younger receptionist that I did not appreciate being scheduled during the lunch hour without being advised that patients are not seen during the lunch hour. The receptionist did not even apologise for the inconvenience caused. I informed the receptionist that I am also a doctor and that my time is as precious as her boss'! She ignored me.
I had a major surgery and he sends me home from the without writing me a pain management prescription. In the mean time my primary doctor helps me the best he could. When I called him he REFUSED to fix it! In my eyes this Dr has the bedside manor of a passed of Billy goat. I do not recommend this quack for anything! You need a good physician go to Texas!!!
